VP of Cultural Arts
Sarah Fink
The Vice President of Cultural Arts manages and coordinates school-wide assemblies and grade-specific programs aimed at enriching the students' cultural and artistic experiences. This role involves collaborating with the co-presidents, secretaries, and school principal to plan events for the upcoming school year.
School-wide Assemblies: The Cultural Arts VP plans and organizes school-wide assemblies. Depending on the event, there can be either two sessions (grades K-2 and 3-5) or three sessions (grades K and 1, 2 and 3, 4 and 5).
Grade-specific Programs: The VP plans grade-specific programs that cater to the unique interests and learning needs of each grade level.
Event Planning with Co-Presidents: In June, the Cultural Arts VP meets with the co-presidents to discuss and plan the events and their dates for the next school year.
Scheduling with Secretaries and Principal: At the end of each school year, the VP works closely with the secretaries and the school principal to review dates and times and prepare for the following school year.
Building Permits: If a PTA event requires the use of the school building, whether during the day or evening, the Cultural Arts VP is responsible for ensuring a building permit is obtained.
The VP of Cultural Arts plays a vital role in enriching the school's cultural environment and providing students with diverse and engaging artistic experiences. This individual should be well-organized, creative, and passionate about promoting arts and culture within the school community.
