Overview

The Vice President of Cultural Arts manages and coordinates school-wide assemblies and grade-specific programs aimed at enriching the students' cultural and artistic experiences. This role involves collaborating with the co-presidents, secretaries, and school principal to plan events for the upcoming school year.

Key Responsibilities

• School-wide Assemblies: The Cultural Arts VP plans and organizes school-wide assemblies. Depending on the event, there can be either two sessions (grades K-2 and 3-5) or three sessions (grades K and 1, 2 and 3, 4 and 5).

• Grade-specific Programs: The VP plans grade-specific programs that cater to the unique interests and learning needs of each grade level.

• Event Planning with Co-Presidents: In June, the Cultural Arts VP meets with the co-presidents to discuss and plan the events and their dates for the next school year.

• Scheduling with Secretaries and Principal: At the end of each school year, the VP works closely with the secretaries and the school principal to review dates and times and prepare for the following school year.

• Building Permits: If a PTA event requires the use of the school building, whether during the day or evening, the Cultural Arts VP is responsible for ensuring a building permit is obtained.

The VP of Cultural Arts plays a vital role in enriching the school's cultural environment and providing students with diverse and engaging artistic experiences. This individual should be well-organized, creative, and passionate about promoting arts and culture within the school community.
